Certificate Awarding Ceremony on Teachers’ Training Program

The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), in collaboration with the Center for Research and Training (CRT) at East West University (EWU), conducted a certificate awarding ceremony to honour faculty members who successfully completed a rigorous four-month training program on Teaching, Learning, and Research. The event took place at the Shelley A. Mubdi Lecture Gallery on 12 February 2025. Fifty-seven faculty members from thirteen departments of EWU were awarded the certificates.
The ceremony began with a welcome address by Professor Dr. Sufia Islam, Director of IQAC at EWU. This was followed by experience-sharing sessions led by Anisa Mehedi, a lecturer in the Department of English, and Md. Sabbir Hossain, a lecturer in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. Both shared their insights from participating in the training program.
Professor Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin, Chief Adviser and Founder Vice Chancellor of EWU graced the program as the Chief Guest, while Professor Dr. Shams Rahman, the Vice Chancellor of EWU, graciously attended the event as the special guest. Both Professors emphasized the significance of this training for young faculty members to elevate the overall quality of education. They expressed their heartfelt congratulations to the participants for successfully completing the training program and encouraged everyone to actively seek opportunities for further growth and to remain committed to lifelong learning in their professional journeys.
Professor Dr. Ahmed Wasif Reza, Dean of the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering and Additional Director of IQAC concluded the event with a vote of thanks. Dr. Basanta Kumar Barmon, the Additional Director of IQAC, expertly coordinated the entire program. The event was attended by Professor Dr. Mohammad Ashik Mosaddik, Pro-Vice Chancellor and Air Cdre (Retd.) Ishfaq Ilahi Choudhury, Treasurer, along with the Deans of the three faculties, the Chairpersons of all academic departments of EWU and officials of IQAC. The Teachers' Training Program is a key initiative in EWU's commitment to advancing academic excellence.
